I really like this double line style rather than the harsher solid color. A return to the french tip look with these ombre nails. A similar idea on these gels but wavy horizontal lines. ![]() I think the gold line against the white nail just looks superb. A glittery take with some horizontal minimal lines. Lovely shade and each nail with its own look. Simple lines with an extra splash of pink. Simple lines but the red and yellow just work really well together. I’m pretty clumsy so if someone could do this for me while I’m walking out the door… that’s a bonus. They look great and (with a steady hand) you could do something like this while walking out of the door. The french tips just needed a simple line up along the cuticles for a unique style. Some simple designs really set off the lines. Half french tips with a little splash of color to boot. A little bit of everything with this nail art. Black and white almond nails □□ I love the black and white on each hand and the thickness of the lines really do it for me. Who says you need to choose? Deep curved black lines against a light red. Gold flakes on one hand with some minimalist red lines on the other. The lines are a little thicker here and I really like the combination of simple white with a little color on each nail. A lovely deep coffee nail background with simple white lines. Asymmetric color choice on these simple lines. Another french tip example – just a thicker line rather than the two thinner ones. Similar to the first design with the wavy lines, a little touch of color outside the lines can look good too. What really works for me is that the index fingernail still has just a hint of orange on either end. Not every nail needs to have a line art style and I like this simple idea. These short orange nails bring me to an important point. These almond nails with glittery red minimalist line art. The norm would be to see this with a solid blue and a single line would probably be lost but two thin blue lines really works. A fantastic example of the french tip version of of minimalist nail designs. The shiny looking stamps could be replaced by some simpler polish lines if you wanted. ![]() So maybe a little beyond a basic minimalist design but a good example of what thicker lines can look like on these coffin nails. There’s still something to be said for the lighter base and if you like the more subtle look this can absolutely still work. These acrylics are a good example of how a darker background makes the lines stand out. Similar to the matte grey ones, a little background color can really make those lines pop and a little asymmetry to the lines like this can really work. There’s not a whole lot to say about these ones but I really like the simple dots. The grey matte background is an easy way to highlight a basic minimalist line and really make those colors pop when they might otherwise be lost. Okay maybe the little rhinestones aren’t exactly minimalist but they do look fantastic and you could absolutely stick with just the line if you wanted to. While most of this list is straight lines – a little bend can bring a little creative quirk to a minimalist look. Some classic-looking minimalist lines on these gels. You can take inspiration from these designs or, if you see something you like enough, copy them for yourself. I could keep filling this list every single day with all the styles I come across but I’ve tried to restrain myself to the top 40 minimalist line art designs giving you a broad idea of a lot of different takes on the style. Aside from looking incredibly stylish and gives you a lot of creative freedom to fit your own style.
